About Oaklands
Origionally a Victorian country house, in ~1945 Oaklands opened as a Youth Hostel but closed in 1983. The Wirral council purchased the property outright in 1984 where it was ran as an outdoor centre for children until 2020 the centre closed. Eryri Accommodation Limited purchased the property in July 2025 and will understake a series of restoration to ensure it is returned to its former glory, culmintating in luxury group accommodation.
Several modifications were made to the property over the years. Espeically so in 2005 when the extension to the right was added to further accommodate additional students.
